About

The team has come to the conclusion that we all share the same issues that have been ongoing regarding our nearby cafe, KHAR Cafe.
The team decided to try to investigate and solve issues at the KHAR Cafe and overall improve the experience not just for the team, but all students of UPSI.

Problems:

Unknown Order
- Student does not hear their nickname being called.
- Possibility that the students’ nicknames are the same.
- This will be an issue if the paper is lost.
Inconsistent Turns
Students are angered to see other students who order after you get their order complete first. This may be an issue on the store owner's side regarding their flawed order management.

Slow Pace
We understand that there aren't a lot of people working in the stores and the overwhelming amount of students coming in everyday that are racing for time.
No store insight / review
Freshmen might have to try out each and every store before they pick their favorite store. Which is unnecessary and a waste of money.


Objective:

Take Order System
Users will have two options to order food which is dine-in and take away in their devices. The option chosen by the student will be updated to the chef. That process could help the chef to do their packing process whether the student wants the order to be dined-in or to be taken away.
Unique Identification Number for Order Listing
Every student order has an unique identity number for their turn to keep the order routine flow smooth. This will ensure that the order listing is an incrementing number to track which order should be done first.

Order Status
The unique feature to our project and to overall improve the experience of every student is the implementation of student order status. Student’s orders can get notified from their devices when their order is ready to be served or ready to be picked up.
Rating System
This feature is important for the store owner to get an idea how the business is doing. Students can give feedback about the store or give comments about the store service.
